You get to Milan Malpensa or Linate airport, and we’ll take care of much of the rest. Transportation is provided to your stunningly restored 18th-century balconied building where you’ll be staying for the next six days.  Rest and freshen up in the centrally-located boutique hotel that has all the amenities of a 4-star hotel but with the intimacy that stems from being family owned and operated.

Later that day you’ll meet the rest of the group and a young local farmer. Together you’ll make artisan cheese from her grass-fed dairy cows. Dinner will include your own hand-crafted cheese and other regional dishes -- some made with other ingredients produced at the farm.

Since this is Italy, delicious food is a must. We’ll grab a quick bite at a local eatery for lunch and finish off the day with a quintessential Milanese happy hour, aperitivo.

And off to Franciacorta we go: a wine producing region an hour outside of Milan. This is no ordinary winery. Franciacorta is famous for creating their Metodo Classico AKA Champagne style bubbles. The group will tour a local winery and sample some of their wines.

After sampling the best of Franciacorta, you’ll journey to Bergamo Alta. This picturesque, walled city sits on top of a plateau surrounded by a rolling green garden. You’ll get to smile for the photographer with the Alps as your background. In Bergamo Alta you’ll have time to explore the mesmerizing array of medieval streets and perhaps get a bite to eat at the café-clad main square.

Finally, after an exciting five days, the group will return to Milan to enjoy a farewell meal, reflect on the days passed, and spend final moments with the new friends they have made.
